This week was fairly standard lots of swimming and work. The fun all happened over the weekend. On Saturday I went to the TCR show in London accompanied by my mother. The show was fantastic, lots happening and full of enthusiastic triathletes.  

Sunday morning I went to swan pool with Steve and Big Dan Earthquake (www.danearthquake.com) from Sandwell Long distance swim club. The idea was just to get in the water for 5 minutes and begin to acclimatise my self to cold water; I managed 6 minutes 42 seconds!  I was dressed from head to toe in my wetsuit gear and still found the water FREEZING - 37 degrees Fahrenheit. I was amazed to see Dan and three other members of the long distance swim club swim in the lake after me with no wetsuits in sight!! – They all made it look easy..
